Russian media and internet regulator Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the media project Novaya Vkladka. The newly established media outlet examines how life had changed in Russian provinces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The blocking measure, which restriucted access to the website within Russia, was reportedly made as a result of an interview that the outlet conducted with a public official from Tuva, who openly denounced Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and subsequently left Russia in order to help Russian soldiers flee from the conflict. Novaya Vkladka had operated for a little more than two months.
