Russia’s internet and communications regulator Roskomnadzor blocked access to the website of The Daily Telegraph, one of the oldest British daily newspapers, at the request of the General Prosecutor’s office. The site was blacklisted due to allegedly spreading false information about the Russian armed forces. The charge was brought due to an article written on February 23 where the outlet claimed that the Russian Ministry of Defence would use mobile crematoria in order to hide its losses in Ukraine. While the website became inaccessible on June 20, the decision to block it was taken in April 2022.
