On 11 April 2022, a journalist from Chornomorsk (a city in Ukraine’s Odesa region), said police had entered her and her neighbors’ homes as part of an investigation into “saboteurs” presumably working for Russia following a recent explosion in the city. Olha Levchuk said that police also asked to check her clothes, computer and camera, but ceased the search and left her house after she asked them to show her a search warrant. According to Levchuk, other houses in her neighborhood were also searched, but much less in detail than hers. She claimed police interest in her activity was linked to critical articles she had recently published on the local military administration.
