Zaporizhia online media inform.zp.ua received a new email with threats, the author of which said the media’s journalists would be sent to prisons in Siberia. The letter was sent on July 12 by a user named “Shomurod Miroshin” via Russian email service bk.ru. In the email, the media is accused of spreading “false information about the actions of the armed forces of the Russian Federation”. The message said: “the Russian army will soon occupy your city and you will be forcefully taken to the closest court of the Russian Federation with a trial and verdict. You will then serve a prison sentence in a correctional facility run by the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Siberian Federal District”.

Inform.zp.ua and other media in Zaporizhia received numerous similar threats since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
