On 22 September 2026, a Russian FPV drone struck a bus carrying Novyny.LIVE correspondent Kseniia Kleshchenko and a film crew during a trip with an evacuation team to frontline settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, according to Novyny.LIVE.
Kleshchenko and the film crew had joined the evacuation team to document the process of evacuating civilians from settlements near the front line.
At one point during the trip, an FPV drone attacked the bus carrying the journalists and members of the evacuation team. As a result of the impact, the vehicle sustained numerous shrapnel marks.
Novyny.LIVE noted that evacuation buses have to travel directly to frontline settlements to pick up civilians, while Russian forces attack not only the settlements themselves but also vehicles moving through the area.
