On 23 March 2025, the office of online media outlet Oboz.ua was damaged in a new Russian drone strike on Kyiv, as reported by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU). No one was killed or injured in the incident, which took place at night. As a result of the attack, office windows and doors were broken, the OBOZ TV video studio was damaged and the office’s central entrance was destroyed. Part of the equipment present on-site was also damaged.
“The [Oboz.ua] studio building was damaged the most, because it is closest to the room in which [the drone] crashed. Several cameras were damaged. We don’t know yet if the lighting in the studio [is damaged], because we were cut off from electricity. But thank God no one was hurt. We will restore everything, the main thing is [human] life”, said Lesya Hasych, the editor-in-chief of Oboz.ua, in a comment provided to NUJU.
