Journalist Aleksandr Zubkovskii of outlet It’s My City was arrested in Ekaterinburg while covering a protest in support of indepent media outlets. He was transported to a nearby police station where he was interrogated about a portrait of Putin that emerged behind the bars of a gas installation in the city on July 1. He was further questioned by members of the Centre E for Combating Extremism. Zubkovskii was subsequently released without any charges being filed
