Mohsen Khazaei, 44, an Iranian reporter for state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), was killed in a mortar attack on Nov. 12, 2016 while covering clashes in the Minyan district of western Aleppo. Cameraman Tamer Sandooq was wounded in the same incident. The IRIB crew was covering efforts by pro-government forces to regain control of territory captured by rebel fighters trying to break through the government siege of eastern Aleppo.
