Michael Marasigan, 60, former managing editor of the magazine BusinessWorld and a video producer for Living Asia Channel, was killed along with his brother, Christopher, on Aug. 3, 2017 when unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on their car in a Manila suburb. At the time of his death, Marasigan was working as a media consultant for Philippine finance secretary Carlos Dominguez. Police said witnesses saw a man observing the former journalist’s residence in San Juan City for two days prior to the attack. The motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
