The International Press Institute (IPI) and its project partners in seven European countries – Radio Dreyeckland (Germany), ERT (Greece), Civil Radio (Hungary), Near FM (Ireland), Radio Popolare (Italy), Radio Student (Slovenia) and project coordinator EMA-RTV (Spain) – will launch a new publication aimed at strengthening quality media coverage of migrants and minorities at a special event in Brussels on Oct. 12, 2017.

Part of the ongoing RESPECT WORDS project, the publication “Reporting on Migration and Minorities – Approach and Guidelines” reflects the findings of working seminars in seven countries in the spring of 2017 organised by the project partners in cooperation with expert individuals and organisations.

The launch event on Oct. 12 will consist of two sessions: a closed session with MEPs from 10:00 – 14:00, followed by an open forum from 14:00 – 16:00 with journalists, topic experts and representatives of civil society organisations working in the fields of journalism, migration and minority issues.
