Peitngor Cable News (PCN) video-journalist Kenny Warjri died on Oct. 11, 2015 when a vehicle in which he was travelling crashed into a tree. The collision came as he and photojournalist Walton Jyrwa were being driven to Tura to cover the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council elections held in the western part of Meghalaya, a north-eastern state, the following day. Warjri succumbed to his injuries after being brought to a nearby hospital. Despite having sustained critical injuries, Jyrwa and the vehicle’s driver survived the crash.
