Ítalo Eduardo Diniz Barros was shot dead in Governador Nunes Freire, Maranhão state on Friday, November 13, 2015. According to reports, he was shot four times by two suspects who fled on a motorbike. Diniz Barros ran a blog, ItaloDiniz.com, covering local politics and had apparently been threatened with relation to some of the blog’s content.
