Journalist and activist Ahmed Khaled Shehadeh was killed by rocket fire in Daraya on March 12, 2013.
The activist and journalist was a founder and editor of Enab Beladi (also spelled Anab Balady or Enab Baladi), a newspaper founded in 2012.
According to his obituary in Enab Beladi, which was translated into German by www.adoptrevolution.org, Shehadeh had a degree in finance from the University of Damascus, and later worked as an assistant for economic affairs at the EU delegation in Damascus. The revolution began before he could finish his master’s.
