Abdülkadir Nişancı, a photojournalist of Anadolu Agency of Turkey, was killed on May 10 while on assignment on Mt. Soğanlı, located between the northeastern Bayburt and Trabzon provinces, when he fell off a cliff. Nişancı was there to cover a regional development programme.
