Aaron Smeltzer, a photo journalist working for WYFF, the NBC-affiliated station in Greenville, South Carolina, was killed on May 28 when a tree came crashing down on the TV van. He was reporting on hazardous weather conditions. His colleague, anchor Mike McCormick was also killed in the incident.
