Libyan freelance photojournalist Khaled Sharif Zintani was killed on June 23, 2016 by sniper fire while reporting in Benghazi’s Gwarsha district. Zintani was a freelance photographer embedded with Saiqa special forces, who were leading the attack in the district. At the time of his death, he had been embedded with the force for two years. He also previously headed Zintan TV’s Benghazi office.
